XI Review lets you open the ledger data behind an AI-detected task and work through each exception in one focused screen - adding comments, creating tasks, sending items to your client, or resolving them - then sign the review off with a closing workpaper note. It's a fast, structured way to clear exceptions without jumping between screens.
Note: XI Review is a beta feature. It appears for staff and admins automatically once your firm's subscription has beta features enabled. There's no in-app toggle for it - if you can't see the Review button, ask your administrator to confirm beta features are enabled for your subscription.
Open a review from a notification
Open your Work List (or Task List) and click an AI-detected task notification to open the notification slide-out.
In the slide-out detail panel, click the Review button (the XbertIntelligence icon, with the tooltip "Open ledger data for AI analysis"). The Review page opens. If no review has run yet, analysis starts automatically.

Note: On an XBert, this same slot shows an Action button instead of Review - that opens the slide-out's Action tab rather than the Review page.
Review the exceptions
Use the left data-area sidebar tabs to navigate. Land on the Exceptions tab to see the AI-detected exceptions.
The Reviews tab shows the per-client exception review summary, and the XBerts tab shows any uncompleted XBerts.
Work through the exception list. The page footer shows "N items to be actioned" alongside the Review, Action and Finish buttons.

Action each exception
Click Action in the footer to enter review mode and step through the exceptions one at a time.
For each exception, choose an action from the action tray. Each action also has a keyboard shortcut:
Add Comment (A) - add a comment to the exception.
Add to Note (O) - add the item to a note.
Create Task (T) - raise a task from the exception.
Task + Assignee (Shift+T) - create a task and assign it.
Send to Client (S) - send the item to your client.
Custom XBert (X) - action via a Custom XBert.
I'll Fix It (F) - flag that you'll fix it yourself.
Defer (W) - defer the item.
Dismiss (D) - dismiss the exception.
Mark Completed (M) - mark the item as completed.
Auto Resolve (R) - auto-resolve the item.
Not an Issue - mark the exception as not an issue.
Use Skip Item (N) to skip an exception, and the Left / Right arrow keys to move Previous / Next. Press ? to show the keyboard shortcuts help panel.

Note: After you action an item, a short Undo window appears so you can reverse the action before it's committed.
Finish and sign off
When every item has been cleared (All Clear), click Finish in the footer to create the closing workpaper note and sign the review off.
Note: Once a review is signed off, the footer locks - it shows a Signed Off pill and "Review locked", and the action buttons are hidden.
View accuracy and audit history
For a deeper look at how a review performed, use the learning slide-out:
From the Reviews tab, click a review row to open the XI Review learning slide-out.
The slide-out has tabs for Insights (accuracy and confidence), Audit (action history), Deferrals, Exports and Timings.

Who can use XI Review
XI Review is available to firm staff and admins - any signed-in firm user whose subscription has beta features enabled and the XI Review flags on.
The Review button only appears when the client tenant is connected, the notification isn't itself sourced from an exception review (to avoid a circular flow), and the review hasn't already been signed off.
Locked or disconnected clients are blocked from the Review page, and a blocked-client wizard is shown instead.
Note: There's no admin-only restriction on the Review surface itself - any firm user who meets the conditions above can open and action a review.
