💡 To learn more about each type of notification, click here.
To access Notification Preferences:
Navigate to your Profile from the bottom left navigation (your initials/picture)
Under Personal, click on Notification Preferences
Notification categories
There are four types of notifications you can manage:
Assignments - when a task is assigned or reassigned to you
Mentions - when someone @mentions you in a comment
Comments - when someone comments on a task you are assigned to
Weekly Summary - a weekly email overview of your activity and outstanding tasks
Channels
For each category, you can turn notifications on or off per channel:
Email - available for all four categories
When enabled, XBert will send email notifications to your registered email address for any active notification categories.
In-app - available for Assignments, Mentions, and Comments.
In-app notifications appear within XBert while you are using the platform. These are controlled independently of email, so you can choose to receive in-app alerts without any email being sent, or vice versa.
Not available for Weekly Summary.
Tick or untick the checkboxes in each row to set your preferences. Changes save automatically.
Quiet Hours
If you do not want email notifications outside of work hours, you can set Quiet Hours.
During this window, any emails that would have been sent are skipped entirely - they are not queued or sent later.
To set Quiet Hours, enable the toggle and enter a start and end time in HH:MM format (for example, 17:00 to 08:00).
How to Configure Quiet Hours
Toggle Enable Quiet Hours to on.
Set your Start Time - the time at which notifications will pause - e.g., 17:00 (5 PM).
Set your End Time - the time at which notifications will resume e.g., 08:00 (8 AM).
Your Timezone is displayed for reference and is based on your account settings.
Important Notes
Quiet Hours apply to all email notifications, regardless of category.
Emails are skipped entirely during quiet hours - they are not delayed or queued for later delivery.
Quiet Hours support overnight windows (e.g., 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
In-app notifications are not affected by Quiet Hours.
Your timezone is shown read-only and is based on your user settings.
Quiet Hours only affects email notifications - in-app notifications are not affected.
