Understanding Your Notification Preferences

XBert keeps your team informed with timely notifications for tasks, mentions, and activity. Your notification preferences give you full control over how and when you receive these updates - so you can stay in the loop without being overwhelmed.

Accessing Notification Preferences

Navigate to Settings > Notification Preferences from the sidebar menu under the Personal section.

Notification Categories

You can control notifications across four categories, with separate toggles for Email and In-App delivery.

Assignments

Receive a notification when a task is assigned or reassigned to you. Use this to stay on top of new work - when a colleague assigns you a task, XBert will notify you immediately so nothing slips through.

Email Notifications

When enabled, XBert will send email notifications to your registered email address for any active notification categories.

In-app Notifications

In-app notifications appear within XBert while you are using the platform. These are controlled independently of email, so you can choose to receive in-app alerts without any email being sent, or vice versa.

Quiet Hours

Quiet Hours allow you to pause email notifications during specific times - for example, outside of business hours or overnight.

How to Configure Quiet Hours

  1. Toggle Enable Quiet Hours to on.

  2. Set your Start Time - the time at which notifications will pause (e.g., 6:00 PM).

  3. Set your End Time - the time at which notifications will resume (e.g., 8:00 AM).

  4. Your Timezone is displayed for reference and is based on your account settings.

Important Notes

  • Quiet Hours apply to all email notifications, regardless of category.

  • Emails are skipped entirely during quiet hours - they are not delayed or queued for later delivery.

  • Quiet Hours support overnight windows (e.g., 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM).

  • In-app notifications are not affected by Quiet Hours.

Default Settings

When you first join XBert, all email and in-app notifications are enabled by default so you do not miss anything important. Quiet Hours are disabled by default.

You can adjust your preferences at any time from the Notification Preferences page.
