Tracking Activity in Your Xero Client Files

For easily viewing changes in your clients' files in Xero

Tracking activity may be of use to you, it will help you stay updated on your team's progress. It will also help you document your team's productivity. Fortunately, we automatically update your activity of a Client File in Xero for your client contacts.

  1. Go to the Xero Dashboard of a Client File. Click on Contacts from the menu on top of your screen.
    ​

  2. From the drop-down menu, click on All Contacts. You can click on either Customers or Suppliers if you remember the type of contact. This is listed in front of the client contact name in the description of the XBert.
    ​

  3. Locate the Client Contact.
    ​

  4. Scroll down until you see the Activity and Notes tabs and you'll see a list of activity for the Client Contact.
    ​

    • Activity will show you all the activity for a Client Contact.

  • Notes will only show you notes.
