Why block a sender?
Anyone can forward receipts to a client's receipt email address, so sometimes emails arrive that aren't receipts at all. For example, newsletters, automatic notifications, or someone forwarding the wrong thing.
When you block a sender, XBert ignores their emails for that client. They won't show up in Receipt Capture, and no Receipt Capture work item is created.
đĄ Blocking only affects emailed receipts
It doesn't stop receipts you add yourself, or receipts your client sends from XBert Capture.
Before you start
You need admin access. Every Receipt Capture settings page is admin only.
The client must have Receipt Capture switched on. Until then, the Blocked Emails column shows a dash.

Block a sender
In the left-hand menu, click Settings.
Under Receipt Capture, click Settings.
Find the client using the search at the top.
In the Blocked Emails column, click the number.
The Blocked Emails for [client name] panel opens.
Type the sender's email address into Enter email address to block...
Click Block Email, or press Enter.
The address appears in the list, and the number in the Blocked Emails column goes up.
Blocking works on the exact email address, and only for that client. To block the same sender for other clients, repeat these steps for each one.
Unblock a sender
Open the Blocked Emails panel for the client.
Click the bin next to the address.
Hover over it and you'll see Remove blocked email.
Emails from that sender will be captured again from now on. Anything they sent while they were blocked won't appear, so ask them to send it again.
Messages you might see
