How To: Update an Email Task

Have you ever needed to add new information to an existing email task? With XBert, it's easy to keep your email tasks up to date with replies and forwarded messages.

After you've emailed a task to XBert, a client or team member may likely update that email.

You can easily update an email task with the additional information provided by your team or client.

There are 2 ways you can do this.

Reply All

  1. To update an email task, your recipient can use Reply All. Simply have them respond to the original email, keeping the XBert email address in the Cc: field. The task will automatically be updated with their reply.

Forwarding a Response

If the recipient doesn’t use Reply All, you can still update the task. Simply forward their response and add the original XBert email address in the Cc: field. Once you send it, the task will be updated with the new information.
