How To: Update an Email Task

For adding additional information to email tasks.

After you've emailed a task to XBert, a client or team member may likely update that email.

You can easily update an email task with the additional information provided by your team or client.

There are 2 ways you can do this.

Reply All

  1. When sending the email, fill in the To: section with the recipient's email address and Cc: section with the XBert User's unique email address of the person you wish the email task to be sent to. Fill in the email with its contents, then Send.

  2. The recipient can then immediately add to an email task by selecting Reply All and then reply to the email.

  3. The email task will automatically be updated with their reply.

Forwarding a Response

In case the recipient of the initial email does not select Reply All, you can still easily update the email task yourself.

  1. View the recipient's reply and select Forward.

  2. Fill in the Cc: section with the unique XBert email address of the person you sent the initial email to. Then, click Send.

  3. The contents of the reply will now appear in the email task.
