The Non-Workday Scheduling feature allows you to automatically adjust the tasks' start dates and due dates on your schedules if they fall on specified non-workdays, such as weekends.

You can configure which days are considered non-workdays and choose whether tasks should be rescheduled to the next or previous working day.

How to Enable Non-Workday Scheduling

  1. Navigate to the Settings menu (the gear icon) on the left panel.

  2. Click on Features in the settings menu on the left-hand side.

  3. Locate the Non-Workday Scheduling section.

  4. Toggle the switch from OFF to ON to activate this feature.

  5. Configuration

    Select Non-Workdays (Weekends)

โ—Be mindful when selecting your non-workdays, as these will be the days that the schedule will automatically skip over.

    • Select the days of the week that you want to mark as non-workdays.

For example, you can check Saturday and Sunday if those are the days you consider non-working.

  6. Set the Rescheduling Preference

    • Choose how you want to reschedule task start and due dates that fall on non-workdays:

      • Move task dates to the PREVIOUS Working Day: Reschedules tasks to the nearest previous workday. For example, if a task falls on Sunday, it will be moved to the previous Friday.

      • Move task dates to the NEXT Working Day: Reschedules tasks to the next available workday. For instance, a task falling on Saturday will be moved to the following Monday.

Note: You can only select one of these options at a time.

  7. Once you've set your preferences, click on Update schedule tasks.

  8. You will see this warning message, click on Update to proceed.

To reiterate, clicking on Update will change the start date and due dates of tasks. This is irreversible so we suggest you triple-check the settings you've made.

  9. The preferences will be saved and applied to ALL your existing and active schedules.

โ—IMPORTANT: The old or existing tasks before you activated this feature will not be updated - meaning that the tasks that are already created before you turned this feature on will not be affected by this change. ONLY new tasks created by schedules AFTER the setup will use these settings.

Example

  • If you mark Saturday and Sunday as non-workdays and select the option to Move task dates to NEXT Working Day, any task scheduled for Saturday will automatically be shifted to Monday.

  • Similarly, if you choose Move task dates to PREVIOUS Working Day, a task scheduled for Sunday will be moved to Friday.

This feature helps ensure your tasks align with your business's operational calendar, reducing the need for manual adjustments and keeping your schedule efficient.
