What is Auto-Resolve?

Auto-Resolve is about reducing the time it takes to address the issues found in the accounting data. Data Quality and Automation are key strategic initiatives in improving operational efficiencies and ensuring quality is maintained.

Auto-Resolve also removes barriers to increasing the operational health of the ledger, with new XBerts such as adding tax numbers from the attachments. With Auto-Resolve, we can now unlock actions that would have been manually restrictive before.

Information like addresses, and tax statuses; as well as operational items like invoice reminders, are just a few that we can now help work towards automating.

Auto-Resolve also unlocks the issue with MYOB and QuickBooks not supporting deep linking. Now, via XBert, we can provide the same process across all your Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks files.

How do I Auto-Resolve an XBert?

You can find the Auto-Resolve button by opening the item sidebar view as shown below.

Clicking on the Auto-Resolve button as shown below will open the Auto-Resolve modal screen.

The Auto-Resolve screen will display the suggested change(s). You can see what the suggested change{s) will be in the To column in the white text as below.

If you do not see a value in the To column this indicates no changes can be made to address this type of XBert.

Each XBert is different, so it is important to review the information to decide on the best action.

Clicking on Accept will action the suggested change on the file and move the item into the Accepted tab. Clicking Reject will not action any of the suggested changes and move the item into the Rejected Tab.

If all items are now actioned the Complete button will become active. Clicking on this button will now close the Auto-Resolve modal, and mark the item as completed.

Can I undo a change I made?

Yes, if you wish to undo the change you can click on the Accepted tab and click Undo. This will reverse the change and move the item back into the Unresolved tab. You can only undo it if the item has not been updated in the ledger to a different value. You can use the View Record tab to manually perform the change if needed.

Clicking Undo will move the item back into the Unresolved Tab to be actioned.

XBerts that require a decision

Some XBerts, such as duplicates, will provide an option as to which item you would like to keep. These are easily identified because you will be offered a selection of actions.

Can I view attachments or manage attachments for the transaction?

Yes. If XBerts contain an attachment or need an attachment, the paperclip icon will be displayed. Clicking on this icon will display the attachments and allow you to view the item in XBert.

This action can also be used to view and upload attachments to the transaction in the accounting ledger.

You can also add comments to each of the items. This will also be added to the comments on the sidebar, so they can reviewed anytime without needing to open the Auto-Resolve modal. You can also create an activity if you tag a person.

Comments are not added to the accounting system and are maintained in the XBert application only.

Clicking on Change Status will close the modal and open the status tile for action.
