Why change this setting?
When you open a Receipt Capture work item, XBert opens the edit screen for you straight away, so you can check and correct the receipt without an extra click. This is on by default.
Turn it off if you'd rather look at the work item first, for example to read comments before you start editing.
đĄ This only changes things for you
Your choice is saved to your own login, so it doesn't affect anyone else in your firm.
Before you start
You need admin access to change this setting.
Team members without admin access can't open this page, so the edit screen always opens automatically for them.
Receipt Capture must be switched on for your firm. The Receipt Capture section only appears once it is.
Turn it on or off
In the left-hand menu, click Settings.
Under Integrations & Features, click Features.
Find the Receipt Capture section.
It has a Beta tag.
Next to Open the document edit panel automatically when I select a receipt, click OFF or ON.
Underneath, you'll see Saves a click on every receipt - best for high-volume sessions.
When the edit screen won't open by itself
Even with the setting on, the edit screen won't open automatically when:
the receipt has already been published, or is being published
you opened the work item straight to another tab, for example from a Client Chat message or a comment you were mentioned in
you've already closed it for that work item. It opens once each time you open the work item, so it won't keep popping back up.
