Why name a conversation?
Every work item gets its own conversation, so a client working with you on several things ends up with several threads. A title tells them at a glance which is which, instead of them opening each one to find out.
Before you start
The client has to be connected to their accounting software. XBert Capture isn't available for clients who aren't connected.

XBert Capture has to be switched on for that client, or the Client Chat (Beta) tab won't be there.

Name or rename it
On the work item, click the Client Chat (Beta) tab.
Click the title at the top of the panel, or the pencil beside it.
If it hasn't been named yet, it reads Enter a Conversation Title.
Type the title, up to 255 characters.
Click the tick to save it, or the × to leave it as it was.
Clicking away from the box also saves it.
Your client sees the new title in their Chats list in XBert Capture.
💡 Name it after what you need
"Missing receipts for August" tells your client more than the work item's own name does.
If you can't edit the title
You have read-only access. You can read the conversation but not change it. An admin can change who's allowed, per client.

The conversation is archived. Turn Archive Chat off first.
