š± These steps are for the XBert Capture app
They describe what you'll see in the app itself, on a phone or in a browser, from setting it up for the first time through to using it day to day.
XBert Capture is a separate app from XBert. Anything that happens inside XBert is covered in the collections for your firm.
What an archived conversation is
In the app, an archived conversation is read-only. You can still open it and read everything in it, but the message bar at the bottom is gone, so you can't reply, send a photo or file, or capture a receipt from it.
If the conversation is needed again, your firm can bring it back, or it comes back by itself if the task is reopened.
Find your archived conversations
Archived conversations don't show in your normal list of chats, so you need the filter to see them.
Open Chats:
On your phone: tap the chat icon in the menu at the bottom of the screen.
On a large computer screen: click Chats in the menu on the left.
Tap the sliders button at the right of the search box. The filter options open underneath it.
Tap Archived. It turns blue, and Archived also appears as a small tag inside the search box.
Only archived conversations are listed now. Each one shows an archive icon and when it was archived, for example Archived 18 Feb or Archived Yesterday. Some older ones just say Archived.
If you don't have any, you'll see No archived chats.
š” Going back to your normal list
Tap the ā on the Archived tag in the search box, or tap All in the filter options.

Read an archived conversation
Tap the conversation to open it.
Scroll up to read older messages, as normal.
Everything is still there: messages, photos and files, reactions, and anything your firm shared, like tasks and notes. What's missing is the message bar at the bottom. That's how you know the conversation is read-only.
Copy a message
Press and hold the message. In a browser, click and hold.
Tap Copy.
In an archived conversation, Copy is the only option. The emoji row and the other actions, like Reply, don't appear.
Need to carry on the conversation?
You can't unarchive a conversation from the app. Ask your firm to bring it back, and the message bar returns so you can reply again.
