Find a note
Filter by topic or client
On the left of the Notes page there are two lists:
Topics: click a topic to see only the notes filed under it. All Topics shows every note, and No Topic shows notes that don't have a topic yet.
Clients: click a client to see only that client's notes. All Clients shows notes for every client. No Client shows general notes that aren't for any one client, for example instructions that apply to every client on a template. No Client only appears in the list when you have at least one note without a client.
Each list has its own search box at the top, so you can find a topic or client quickly.
Filter at the top of the page
My Items (the person icon): shows only the notes you created.
My Favourites (the star icon): shows only the notes you've favourited.
Search: finds notes by their title, client name, or topic.
đĄ Good to know
Search doesn't look at the text inside a note. Give each note a clear title, for example Payroll - pay run instructions, so your team can find it.
Sort the list
Click a column heading to sort your notes by it, for example Favourites, Attachments, Note Link Tag, Created By, Last Edit or Status.
Click it again to reverse the order.
Favourite a note
Favourite the notes you use most, then click My Favourites at the top of the page to see just those.
From the list: click the star on the note's row.
Inside a note: click Add to Favourites. The button changes to Favourited.
To remove a favourite, click the star or Favourited again.
Edit a note
On the Notes page, click the note to open it.
Make your changes. Your note saves automatically as you write.
Close the note to go back to the list.
Anyone on your team can edit a Public note. A Private note can only be seen and edited by the person who created it.
Changed something by mistake? You can go back to an earlier version of the note.

Create a task from a note
Turn a note into a one-off task, for example a reminder to follow up on something in the note.
On the Notes page, find the note and click the Create Task icon on its row, below the star.
The Create Task page opens with these fields already filled in from the note:
Title: the note's title
Description: the note's text
Clients: the note's client, if it has one
Fill in anything else the task needs, for example Assigned Role / User, Process, Estimated Time or Subtasks.
âTo fill these in from a template instead, choose it under Create from template, then click the arrow next to Populate all fields and pick an option:
Populate only blank fields: fills in the empty fields and keeps the title and description from your note.
Populate all fields: replaces every field with the template's details, including the note's title and description.
Click Save.
đĄ Good to know
Use Populate only blank fields to keep the note's text on the task.

Delete a note
On the Notes page, click the note to open it.
Click Delete Note.
Click Delete to confirm, or Cancel to keep the note.
â ď¸ Deleting a note is permanent
The note is removed from the Notes page and from every task it showed on, together with its attachments.
Anyone on your team can delete a Public note, so only delete notes you're sure nobody needs.
