Some clients do not have an accounting ledger you can connect, or you simply do not need XBert working on their numbers. You can still add them to XBert to manage templates, tasks and deadlines.
These are called Workflow-only clients.
Adding a workflow-only client
If you are setting up a new XBert account for your organisation, you will be prompted to add clients during setup. If you are already an XBert user:
Click Add Client at the top right of your screen, or open Quick Add (the + icon in the top header) and choose Add Client.
The Connect a ledger screen opens.
At the bottom of that screen, next to Not ready to connect a ledger?, click Start with Workflow AI.
The Start without Financial AI? screen opens. Fill in the Client name, Country and Timezone.
Now choose which option you want:
For Workflow-only, click Add as a Manual Client.
This is the text link underneath the card, next to "Only need task management?".
Add as a Manual Client stays greyed out until you have entered a client name.
For Workflow AI, click the blue Add client button on the card.
The Nano price is shown above the form, and billing starts that day.
The blue Add client button is the Nano plan option.
The workflow-only option is the smaller Add as a Manual Client link sitting below it.
You will see this screen:
Click on Continue on the free plan on the bottom right.
After you add the client
The client appears across your dashboards, including the Work list, Work boards, Team View, XBerts & Tasks and Clients pages, and you can assign tasks and run templates for them straight away.
If you picked the wrong option
A client cannot be moved from Workflow AI (Nano) to Workflow-only (Manual).
If you added a client on Workflow AI and you only wanted the Manual option, you will need to delete the client and add it again, choosing Add as a Manual Client this time.
If the client is newly created there is nothing to lose by doing this. If it has history you want to keep, contact us at support@xbert.io or via the in-app support chat before deleting anything.
